Secure Funding
Secure necessary funding for the Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church in Port St. Joe, Florida, to lead the development and initiation of strategies to assist coastal minority and other communities in addressing climate change and environmental injustices.
Increase Representation
Address the under-representation of panhandle coastal communities in climate change and environmental justice organizations. The goal is to ensure these communities have a seat at the table and can effectively organize and amplify their voices.
Educate and Mobilize

Identify ways to protest the expansion of fossil fuel industries such as Liquified Natural Gas Storage Facilities and Natural Gas Export Facilities. This includes ongoing, organized protests and advocacy to keep community needs and concerns in the forefront.
Community Engagement
Use events, forums, and celebrations like Juneteenth to share information, build coalitions, and engage community members in environmental justice efforts.
Youth Involvement
Engage young people in the conversation and actions around climate change and environmental justice by connecting with youth-serving programs and agencies. This includes expanding presence through social media to involve youth in environmental stewardship.
Advocate for Clean Initiatives
Mobilize communities to advocate for clean water, air, clean energy, energy efficiency, green infrastructure, and clean industrial development.
Political Engagement
Encourage local, state, and federal elected officials to support initiatives that reduce pollution emissions and positively impact the health, well-being, and safety of their constituents.
Coalition Building
Strengthen and expand relationships with frontline groups to combat developments harmful to the environment and community health.
Accountability
Hold city, county, and federal officials accountable for decisions impacting community health and the environment, utilizing research, social media, letters, and other advocacy tools.
